Join Adam for an autumnal Discovery Tour of the wild and remote Dartmoor National Park. Southern England's largest remaining wilderness, Dartmoor is a wild and exposed place, which makes it a breathtaking area for landscape photography. A landscape rich in myth and legend, the moor has an atmosphere quite unlike any other national park.
Living on the northern edge of Dartmoor, Adam has an in-depth knowledge of the national park. During this 3 day workshop Adam will lead you to many of Dartmoor's best known locations while also visiting some lesser known spots. Throughout the trip Adam will be at hand to provide as much guidance and support as you would like to help you capture many atmospheric landscape photographs. As always, we will begin the trip with an itinerary, but we will react to the weather conditions and choose our locations based on the weather at the time. There really is so much more to Dartmoor than wild moorland, so depending on the weather we could be shooting granite tors, deciduous woodland, fast flowing rivers and even ancient Bronze Age sites. Hopefully with favourable weather we can cover all of these subjects!
We will meet at the Two Bridges Hotel at midday where we will head out for the afternoon, returning to the hotel to check in after sunset. After that we will enjoy two full days photographing Dartmoor, returning to the hotel after our sunset shoot.
With a maximum group number of only four participants, our chosen locations will be uncrowded ensuring everybody has access to shoot that special viewpoint. Adam will encourage you to fully explore each location to find your own viewpoints and compositions, while helping you capture beautiful landscape photographs.
Our tours are aimed at everybody, from beginners looking for advice and encouragement through to experienced photographers wishing only to be guided to locations. With such a small group, you can be assured of Adam’s attention, support and feedback throughout each location we visit.
Please note: This tour requires a moderate level of fitness. Some locations require walks of up to 30 minutes over uneven moorland paths, of which some will be uphill.

Recommendations
"Thank you very much for an enjoyable day on Tuesday. I particularly enjoyed your company and patient encouragement in showing me that taking good landscape photographs is not as daunting (or indeed as frustrating) as perhaps I had made it."
Robin, 1-2-1 Tuition Day
"Adam Burton is a great photographer and a great communicator. He didn't bamboozle me with jargon and unnecessary technicalities - we just got down to the nitty gritty of taking a good photograph. The day just flew by which is always a good sign in my book. The day was very informative, hugely enjoyable and I learnt a great deal. All I have to do now is remember everything we covered and put it into practice. Perhaps easier said than done!"
Jonathan, 1-2-1 Tuition Day
"Well what can I say about our 3 days. Awesome!! I learnt so much but at the same time had a great time. I can now take a photograph. I can use my camera the way it should be used. You have totally changed the way I look at photography, in the best way. At the same time having a great laugh. I really had a great time, and will be looking into another course next year. Once again, thank you for your help, your patience and for showing me some amazing places."
Alan, 1-2-1 Tuition Day
